70 STEPS
The distance between heart and nettle
BLOOM Festival
Copenhagen, Denmark, 2022

On the occasion of the BLOOM Festival 2022 in Copenhagen, Plastique Fantastique creates an imaginary path through Søndermarken Park, connecting two distinct landscapes: the interior and the exterior. 70 STEPS is an ongoing investigation into the relationship between these two spheres, exploring the threshold between human and nature from an external perspective. Along this path, the Individual seeks to communicate with the in-between while questioning where they belong.
Polarised concepts such as Inside/Outside, You/Me, Private/Public, and Nature/Urban become ambiguous and blurred in perception. The two transparent spaces maintain a timeless distance from one another, allowing it to be experienced differently and measured through arbitrary means — for example, in 70 STEPS.
After three days, these ephemeral bubbles disappear, leaving behind nothing but a memory-based boundary suspended in the air.
