BETWEEN THE CHE
Workshop at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia
Bogotá, Colombia, 2016
The workshop focused on the participation of students from the faculties of arts and architecture, who were invited to design a site-specific installation on the campus of the National University of Colombia in Bogotá.
Once the location was chosen -the Che Guevara Square- a 37-metre-long tubular structure was squeezed between the inner corridor and the columns of the main building, underlining and revaluing the existing public space.
An additional series of transparent pictograms was placed on the surface of the structure, allowing for a free interpretation of both the installation and this emblematic square.
