NIT LAUS
Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona
Barcelona, Spain, 2001
The temporary installation was realised for the LAUS Graphic Design Award ceremony, held in the courtyard of the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).
The walkable tube system serves simultaneously as a structural delimitation and connecting tunnel, offering visitors a new way to reach the award area through the CCCB. The tube is experienced from both inside and outside as a translucent body that creates unusual boundaries. Visual projections and light accents allow visitors to perceive the installation as a blend of a massive and a dematerialised subject.
The project was realised in cooperation with the architecture office Cloud9.
