SAN SALVARIO MON AMOUR 05
San Salvario Mon Amour Festival
Torino, Italy, 2005

The white and translucent pneumatic architecture is wedged between the street and the porticoes at the intersection of Via Nizza and Via Pio V, transforming and expanding its urban potential.
The installation's peculiarity lies in its simultaneous devouring of urban space - one of the columns of the Via Nizza porticoes - and in being penetrated by that same space: the column enters the pneumatic structure like a piercing. Through this process, the two structures modify and alienate one another. Both become parts of a hybrid entity, no longer recognisable in their original forms.
