THE RIGHT PILLThe ultimate pill against the Right.
Alexanderplatz Berlin, Germany; Kunsthalle Bratislava, Slovakia, 2019.
The RIGHT PILLis a strong medicine that must be taken as soon as one experiences the first symptoms of the fascist disease. The prescription is as follows: swallow it all at once and you will instantly stop thinking nonsense.
The RIGHT PILL deals with the uprising nationalism and xenophobia within Western countries, as well as with the increasing ignorance in our society. European history is full of examples of people having to leave their native lands to escape war and misery. Nowadays, many immigrants set off on their odyssey until they get stuck. If they are rescued, they mostly receive a space blanket as first aid for immediate thermal relief.
For several years, people in Berlin have been using space blankets at demonstrations to protest against the rise of fascism. The gold and silver sheet has become a new flag of solidarity used in the fight against intolerance. Numerous cultural institutions joined the declaration of "The Many" ("Die Vielen") to "lead an open and critical dialogue that creates awareness in regards to right-wing strategies".
Plastique Fantastique supports this movement and creates the RIGHT PILL. This is a strong medicine that must be taken as soon as one experiences the first symptoms of the fascist disease. The prescription is as follows: swallow it all at once and you will instantly stop thinking nonsense.
This project is self-initiated by Plastique Fantastique and in support of the Declaration of the Many (DIE VIELEN).
